An Airbus A320 flown by Aeroflot, registration RA-73753, entered a critical flight attitude during a go-around at Nizhny Novgorod, according to an investigation by Russian aviation authority Rosaviatsiya. The aircraft had arrived from Antalya, and the crew discontinued the approach due to thunderstorms and turbulence.

Rosaviatsiya found that during the go-around the aircraft reached a pitch attitude of up to 30.59 degrees and a bank angle of 46 degrees. Speed climbed to 196 knots at one point, above the 185-knot limit for the configuration at the time, and the flight recorded a load of 1.92 g. The first officer intervened to correct the excessive bank.

The causes cited by Rosaviatsiya include excessive control inputs by the captain, procedural errors and insufficient preparation for the go-around. The findings were reported by the channel Aviatorshina. The incident occurred on 22 July.
