ITA Airways has announced a new long-haul route linking Rome-Fiumicino with Caracas, Venezuela. The Italian carrier plans to start the service on 30 March 2027, operating three times a week.

Flights are to be scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, using an Airbus A330-900.

According to the airline, the route will restore a direct air link between Italy and Venezuela. ITA Airways expects demand from business travellers, tourists and Venezuela's large Italian and Italian-descended community.

The carrier says passengers travelling from Caracas will be able to connect through its Rome-Fiumicino hub to destinations across its Italian and international network.
