Luxair flies Embraer E195-E2 to London City for the first time
Luxair has put the Embraer E195-E2 into service on its Luxembourg–London City route for the first time, adding capacity on a sector the airline says matters to business travellers.

Luxair flew an Embraer E195-E2 on its Luxembourg–London City service for the first time. With around 136 seats, the aircraft gives the route more capacity than before.
The E195-E2 is the largest aircraft type now operating at London City Airport. It belongs to the latest generation of Embraer's E-Jets family, which the manufacturer says burns less fuel and produces lower noise emissions than earlier models.
According to the airport, the noise footprint at takeoff is about 60 percent smaller than that of previous jets such as the Embraer E190. The reduction is expected to ease the noise burden on people living near the airport.
Luxair has served the route for more than 20 years and calls the link important for business travellers moving between the two financial centres.
