Afghan carrier Kam Air and Uzbekistan are exploring the establishment of a new international airline based in the Uzbek city of Fergana, according to reports.

Uzbekistan and Afghan carrier Kam Air are looking at setting up a new international airline based in the Uzbek city of Fergana. Representatives from Kam Air, Uzbekistan Airports, and the Fergana regional government discussed what the project would require, including infrastructure and aviation services, the portal Trend reported.

The talks follow an Uzbek delegation's visit to Afghanistan in late July. The parties now want to assess how the venture can be put into practice, with specialized organizations and experts to be brought in. No fleet, route network, ownership structure, or launch date has been disclosed.
