Korean Air delivers flood relief supplies to Nepal
Korean Air and parent Hanjin Group are transporting drinking water and blankets to flood-affected areas in Nepal, with flights from Seoul Incheon to Kathmandu on September 8 and 12.
Korean Air has begun flying relief supplies to Nepal following severe flooding. The carrier operated flight KE695 from Seoul Incheon to Kathmandu on September 8 with the first shipment.
According to the airline, a total of 1,000 cartons of drinking water and 1,000 blankets will be transported on flights on September 8 and 12. Korean Air temporarily suspended commercial cargo bookings on a Kathmandu flight to make room for the supplies.
On September 5, Korean Air and Hanjin Corporation carried 10.5 tonnes of thermal blankets provided by the South Korean government to Nepal.
