Korean Air firms up order for 103 Boeing aircraft and engines
Korean Air has finalised an order for 103 Boeing jets plus spare engines, valued at $36.2 billion and described by the carrier as its largest ever.

Korean Air has finalized an order for 103 Boeing aircraft and related engines, worth $36.2 billion to the airline. It first announced plans to place the order in August 2025.
The deal covers 20 Boeing 777-9s, 25 787-10s, 50 737-10s and eight 777-8F freighters. Korean Air calls it its largest-ever aircraft order, and Boeing's largest from an Asian carrier. The airline also finalized an order for 21 spare engines from GE Aerospace and CFM International and signed a 15-year engine maintenance contract with both manufacturers.
According to the airline, the investment locks in a predictable long-term fleet introduction schedule to support capacity growth following its integration of Asiana Airlines. Korean Air says the move to next-generation models should improve fuel efficiency and help meet its carbon reduction targets. It expects to complete the Asiana integration by the end of this year.
Korean Air flies 737s, 747-8s, 777s and 787s and has outstanding orders for 737 Max jets, 777-9s and 787s. Asiana operates 777 aircraft.
