Korean Air to take over Asiana's Frankfurt route amid merger integration
Following the merger of Asiana Airlines into Korean Air, Korean Air will operate several former Asiana European routes starting December 17, including Frankfurt, London, Paris and Prague, with different aircraft types than before.

Korean Air will begin operating several European routes previously served by Asiana Airlines starting December 17, as part of the ongoing integration of the two carriers. The change affects four routes departing from Seoul-Incheon.
On the Frankfurt route, a Korean Air Boeing 777-300ER will replace the Airbus A350-900 previously used by Asiana, operating four times a week, according to a company spokesperson.
London Heathrow will see daily service with a Boeing 787-10. Paris will be served five times weekly, also with the 787-10, though from January 17, 2027, one weekly flight will shift to the 777-300ER. The Prague route will move to a Boeing 787-9 operating three times a week, replacing the previous 777-200ER.
The switch coincides with the first day of operations following the completion of the merger between Asiana and Korean Air, marking a broader shift in aircraft deployment across the combined carrier's European network.
