Kyrgyz carrier Asman Airlines weighs Comac C909 and C919
Asman Airlines is examining the possible acquisition of Chinese-built Comac aircraft, the C909 regional jet and the larger C919, according to the state airport company. No order has been placed.
Kyrgyz carrier Asman Airlines is considering buying Chinese aircraft, the Comac C909 regional jet and the larger C919, according to Airports of Kyrgyzstan, the state airport company.
Comac plans to give the airline technical and commercial information on both models, after which the two sides will run joint calculations on whether the aircraft make economic sense on Asman's current and planned routes.
Certification is on the agenda too. Preparations to validate the type certificates of the two aircraft are to be made with Kyrgyzstan's civil aviation authority. Asman representatives are also expected to visit Comac's production facilities in Shanghai. No order has been placed so far.
