LATAM and Delta mark four years of joint venture with 31% capacity growth
Four years into their joint venture, LATAM Airlines and Delta Air Lines report 17.4 million passengers carried between South America and North America and a projected 31% rise in joint capacity for 2026 compared with 2023.

LATAM Airlines and Delta Air Lines have marked four years of their strategic agreement, reporting sustained growth in connectivity between South America and North America. Between October 2022 and July 2026 the two carriers operated 83,000 flights together, offered more than 20 million seats and carried 17.4 million passengers, according to the airlines.
The alliance projects joint capacity will be 31% higher in 2026 than in 2023. Over the same period it has managed 28 joint routes and added nine new routes to its network.
The agreement currently connects passengers to more than 300 destinations across the Americas. Delta contributes more than 200 destinations in the United States and Canada, while LATAM adds more than 130 in South America. Connecting traffic has been central to the operation: of the 17.4 million travellers carried, 9.4 million, more than half, flew itineraries with a connection through the hubs of the two companies.
"The Joint Venture has allowed us to offer our passengers more destinations and better connections, integrating two highly complementary networks," said Ramiro Alfonsin, commercial vice president of LATAM Airlines Group. He said the share of passengers who would recommend travelling with LATAM and Delta has risen 50% since the agreement began.
On routes operated by LATAM, the expansion has added São Paulo–Los Angeles, Buenos Aires–Miami and Atlanta–Lima.
