Lockheed Martin to supply Black Hawk simulator to Philippine Air Force

Lockheed Martin has signed a contract with the Philippine defence ministry for a full-flight simulator and a virtual maintenance trainer for the Sikorsky S-70i Black Hawk.

Lockheed Martin will deliver a full-flight simulator for the Sikorsky S-70i Black Hawk to the Philippine Air Force, along with a virtual maintenance trainer. The US company and the Philippine defence ministry signed the contract, Lockheed Martin said.

The equipment is intended to let the air force train pilots and maintenance personnel for its Black Hawk fleet on home soil.

The order also covers training materials and spare parts and maintenance support through 2032. Until the training capacity is established in the Philippines, Black Hawk pilots will continue to be trained at the Sikorsky Training Academy in the United States.
