LOT Polish Airlines has inaugurated a direct route linking Warsaw Chopin Airport with Bangkok, connecting the Polish capital to a major tourism and business centre in Southeast Asia. The carrier said the service extends its long-haul network and reinforces Warsaw's role as a transfer point for Central and Eastern European travellers.

Robert Ludera, a board member and chief commercial officer at LOT, said Bangkok had remained one of Asia's most attractive destinations for years, combining the character of a global metropolis with Thailand's culture, cuisine and heritage, along with access to tropical islands. He said the launch marked another step in strengthening LOT's presence in the region and offered passengers a faster, more convenient way to reach Thailand. According to Ludera, the connection is also expected to deepen ties between Poland and Thailand and to reinforce Warsaw's position as a transit centre for passengers from Central Europe travelling to Asia.

The service will be introduced in phases. Between 7 and 25 October 2026, flights from Warsaw to Bangkok will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays with a 3:45 p.m. departure, while return flights will leave Bangkok on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 9:05 a.m. From 26 October 2026, with the start of the winter season, frequencies will increase and schedules will be adjusted.
