Lufthansa Group reviews Jordan schedules after EASA warning
EASA now advises avoiding Jordanian airspace at all altitudes, prompting Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines to review plans to resume Amman flights.

Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines are reviewing their planned return to Amman after the European Union Aviation Safety Agency issued a stricter safety recommendation for Jordan. EASA now advises avoiding Jordanian airspace at all altitudes, according to the airline group. Previously, the agency had only urged increased caution.
A Lufthansa Group spokesperson said the company continuously monitors and assesses the situation in the Middle East and is in close contact with authorities. Austrian Airlines had planned to restart its Amman flights on October 2. Lufthansa's resumption was scheduled for October 25.
The recommendation could affect those timelines. No decision on further changes has been announced.
