Nordwind Airlines crew complain to Russian investigators over pay deductions
Cabin crew at the Russian carrier Nordwind Airlines have asked Russia's Investigative Committee to look into deductions they say are regularly taken from their wages.
Cabin crew at Nordwind Airlines have complained to Russia's Investigative Committee about deductions from their pay, the Telegram channel Aviatorshina reports. Flight attendants say the money is withheld regularly when they miss the deadline for acknowledging internal documents in the Aviabit system. Staff call the practice unlawful and want an investigation.
An earlier prosecutor's office review, cited in the letter, confirmed part of other grievances raised by employees. It found violations involving working hours, unpaid holiday pay and salary indexation, and Nordwind received a formal notice.
The Investigative Committee will decide whether the deductions are also unlawful.
