Sun Country cuts about a fifth of Minneapolis flights in October
Sun Country Airlines is cutting 145 departures from Minneapolis-St. Paul in October, a 19 percent reduction, while adding a single flight to Detroit.
Sun Country Airlines is trimming its October schedule out of Minneapolis-St. Paul, according to a report by the aviation data outlet Aero Routes. The carrier has planned 617 departures between October 1 and 24, down from the 762 previously filed, a reduction of 19 percent.
The cuts touch many domestic routes as well as service to Cancún. Las Vegas falls from 73 flights to 59, Orlando from 67 to 54, and Phoenix from 58 to 46. Los Angeles, Fort Myers, Denver, Miami, and Philadelphia also lose departures.
One route moves the other way. Detroit rises from ten flights to eleven.
