Wizz Air and Ryanair to resume flights to Jordan
Wizz Air restarts Amman service from 22 September, with Ryanair following at the end of October, after the European safety agency removed Jordan from its conflict-zone bulletin.
Wizz Air restarts flights to Amman on 22 September, ending a suspension of several months. Two weekly connections are planned at first. Ryanair intends to follow at the end of October, linking Jordan with four European destinations.
Jordan's civil aviation authority, CARC, said the European Union Aviation Safety Agency has removed the country from its information bulletin on conflict areas, lifting the earlier advice to avoid flights to Jordan.
According to the authority, European carriers must still carry out their own risk assessments before starting or restarting services.
