The airport fire service at Paderborn/Lippstadt has taken delivery of three new Rosenbauer Panther 8x8 airfield firefighting vehicles, each rated at 1,400 horsepower.
Paderborn/Lippstadt airport's fire service has taken delivery of three new airfield firefighting vehicles. Each Rosenbauer Panther 8x8 weighs around 48 tonnes and is rated at 1,400 horsepower.
Top speed is 135 kilometres per hour. Each vehicle carries a 12,500-litre water tank, 1,500 litres of foam concentrate and 250 kilograms of dry extinguishing powder, and its roof monitor can discharge up to 6,000 litres of extinguishing agent per minute.
