Poland's Centralny Port Komunikacyjny airport project awards drainage contract
Port Polska has contracted Budimex to rebuild the drainage system for Poland's planned Centralny Port Komunikacyjny airport, part of the flood-protection works for the new hub.
Port Polska has awarded Budimex a contract to renew the drainage system for Centralny Port Komunikacyjny, Poland's planned new central airport. The order is worth 70.9 million złoty net, about 16.2 million euros.
The work covers roughly six kilometres of new drainage ditches and a dry retention basin holding about 160,000 cubic metres. Once built, the system is to carry rainwater away from the airport site, roads and railway lines, and provide flood protection.
Construction is scheduled for January 2027 to August 2028.
