Porter Airlines and Air Creebec have signed an interline agreement connecting the two Canadian regional carriers' networks, the airlines said. It allows year-round connections between the two networks through Montréal and Timmins.

Using Porter flights from western Canada, travellers can reach destinations including Saguenay, Chibougamau and Val-d'Or in Québec, along with Attawapiskat and Moosonee in Ontario. Through Timmins, the agreement also connects Porter's network from Toronto Billy Bishop airport.

Itineraries are bookable now, with the first flights on 21 October.

Air Creebec is based in Val-d'Or, Québec, and is wholly owned by Canada's Indigenous Cree population. It serves 16 destinations in Québec and Ontario.

Founded in 1982, the airline operates 22 aircraft. Its passenger aircraft are De Havilland Canada Dash 8-100 and Dash 8-300 turboprops, while its cargo operation uses Dash 8-100 freighters and ATR 72-500 aircraft.
