Qantas unit Network Aviation takes first Embraer 190 for fleet renewal
Network Aviation, a Qantas-owned carrier based in Perth, has inducted its first Embraer 190 as part of a planned replacement of Fokker 100s on resource charter flights in Western Australia.

Network Aviation has received its first Embraer 190, part of a 14-jet order replacing the airline's Fokker 100 fleet on resource charter services in Western Australia. The Perth-based aircraft, registered VH-E9A, will fly under the QantasLink brand.
The Fokker 100s will be retired after nearly 20 years in service. Following cabin refurbishment, the first E190 enters service in January 2027 with 100 seats in a single class and Wi-Fi. According to aviation analytics provider Cirium, the aircraft previously flew with KLM Cityhopper, which took delivery of it in 2009.
The E190 induction is part of a broader investment in Qantas's Western Australia operations. That program also includes retrofitting 19 Airbus A320s with new cabins and Wi-Fi, with the first completion expected by end-October.
