Ryanair names top Belgian summer 2026 destinations

Athens, Trapani and Podgorica are the three most popular destinations among Belgian passengers for summer 2026, according to Ryanair.

Athens is served from both Brussels Airport and Brussels South Charleroi Airport, so travellers from the region have two departure points for the Greek capital. The airline described it as a strong city-break option for Belgian holidaymakers.

Trapani, in Sicily, and Podgorica, in Montenegro, fly only from Charleroi. Ryanair pointed to Trapani as a gateway to western Sicily. Podgorica, it said, offers access to Montenegro's coast and mountains.

The airline's announcement did not include figures on passenger numbers or bookings. The ranking appears to reflect Ryanair's own assessment of demand among its Belgian customers rather than independently verified traffic data.

Charleroi has long served as a base for Ryanair's low-cost network into southern Europe and the Balkans, and the airline operates a significant share of its Belgian capacity from there. Brussels Airport also hosts Ryanair flights, though on a smaller scale for some routes.

Ryanair did not detail any changes to flight frequency or new routes tied to the announcement. It framed the list instead as a summary of traveller preference ahead of the 2026 season.
