Saudia Group moves closer to large aircraft order
Saudia Group has determined how many aircraft it needs for growth and fleet replacement, as it moves toward a large order covering Saudia and its subsidiary Flyadeal.

Saudia Group is edging closer to a large aircraft order. The strategy chief, Sanjiv Kapoor, said in an interview with Bloomberg that the group has now worked out how many aircraft it requires for growth and to replace older planes. He did not give a figure.
The board still has to approve before a tender for the order can open. That tender would cover both Saudia and its subsidiary Flyadeal. Deliveries under the planned deal are expected between 2031 and 2040.
Bloomberg reported in February that Saudia was talking to Airbus and Boeing about at least 150 jets.
