WestJet to launch Calgary–São Paulo nonstop in December
WestJet will begin three weekly Boeing 787-9 flights between Calgary and São Paulo's Guarulhos airport on December 15, its first South American route.

WestJet is preparing to open its first route to South America, with three weekly Boeing 787-9 flights linking Calgary International Airport to São Paulo's Guarulhos International Airport starting December 15. The carrier says the service will be the only nonstop passenger link between Western Canada and South America. At 6,610 miles (10,635 km), Calgary–São Paulo is set to become WestJet's longest route, exceeding its Calgary–Seoul service.
