Singapore Airlines extends DHL freighter operation with five Boeing 777Fs
DHL Express and Singapore Airlines have extended their cooperation covering five Boeing 777 freighters based in Singapore. Singapore Airlines continues to supply the crews and maintenance.
DHL Express and Singapore Airlines will keep operating five Boeing 777 F freighters together. The aircraft stay based in Singapore, with Singapore Airlines crews flying them and the airline also handling maintenance.
The five freighters connect DHL's hub at Singapore Changi Airport to major destinations in the United States. They entered service in stages from 2022, and each carries up to 102 tonnes of cargo.
The two companies are targeting time-critical express shipments and goods from online retail. They did not say how long the extension runs.
