Somon Air adds second Boeing 737 Max 8 to fleet

The Tajik carrier has taken a second Boeing 737 Max 8 into regular service, bringing its fleet to eight aircraft. The jet is on long-term lease from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise.

Somon Air has placed a second Boeing 737 Max 8 into regular service, bringing the Tajik carrier's fleet to eight aircraft. The aircraft is on long-term lease from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, according to the Central Asia + Aero portal.

The carrier had taken delivery of another 737 Max 8 from the same lessor at the end of June. The privately held airline continues to add capacity with the second jet.

Somon Air serves around 30 destinations.
