SunExpress to resume flights from Weeze airport in summer 2027

Turkish leisure carrier SunExpress will return to Germany's Weeze airport in summer 2027, offering daily nonstop service to Antalya.

SunExpress plans to bring Weeze airport back into its network from summer 2027, according to the airline. Flights are due to start on April 23, with daily nonstop service to Antalya.

The carrier said the route will run at seven weekly frequencies, in effect one flight a day. It is targeting holidaymakers from North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as travelers from the neighboring Netherlands, given Weeze's location near the Dutch border.

No aircraft type was specified for the route. SunExpress, a joint venture between Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, has long served the leisure market between Germany and Turkey. Antalya is one of its main destinations.

The announcement did not include details on pricing, booking availability, or further route additions from Weeze.
