SyberJet to show SJ36 mock-up at NBAA-BACE, claims coast-to-coast range
SyberJet plans to reveal a full-scale SJ36 mock-up at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas, pitching the revamped light jet as faster and longer-ranged than its SJ30-2 predecessor.

SyberJet will display a full-scale mock-up of its SJ36 light jet at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas, the company says. The mock-up includes interior and cockpit. The unveiling is planned for the eve of the show, 19 October, in an area of the static display the company calls SyberJet World.
The Arizona-based manufacturer calls the aircraft effectively the first all-new light jet since the Pilatus PC-24 arrived in 2013. The design is not new. It descends from the SJ30-2, built by designer Ed Swearingen in the 1980s and certificated in the 2000s under a successor company, Sino Swearingen. Only about a dozen were built and four entered service. Efforts to revive the programme under later owners, including a bid to certificate an upgraded SJ30i in the late 2010s, did not bring it back into production. One SJ30-2 remains privately owned.
SyberJet says the SJ36 will be quicker than its predecessor, with a top speed of Mach 0.88 against Mach 0.83, and will fly 3,000nm (5,600km) compared with 2,500nm. Much of the extra performance comes from more powerful FJ44-4A engines, the same type used on the Cessna Citation CJ4 and the PC-24, each rated at 3,620lbf.
The company has been working on the SJ36 since entrepreneur Trevor Milton bought the business in 2024. It has set a provisional price of $14 million.
