TCab Tech and SIDEC sign MOU on E20 eVTOL commercialisation in Malaysia
Chinese eVTOL developer TCab Tech has signed a memorandum of understanding with Malaysia's Selangor state IT agency SIDEC to explore commercialisation pathways for its five-seat E20 aircraft.

TCab Tech and the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC) exchanged a memorandum of understanding on October 9, 2026. It sets out plans to study ways of bringing the E20 electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft into commercial service in Malaysia.
The signing took place at the opening of a showcase event at IOI City Mall in Putrajaya, arranged by the two organisations with the mall. The event, which runs for a month, is the E20's first public showing in Malaysia.
TCab Tech's founder and chief executive, Ng Yon Wui, and SIDEC chief executive Yong Kai Ping took part in the exchange. Among those present were Selangor's Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari, and the state's executive councillor for investment, trade and mobility, Ng Sze Han.
According to the company, the E20 is a five-seat tilt-rotor design developed in house. TCab Tech says it is intended for tourist routes as well as travel between and within cities. Its design priorities are safety, efficiency, convenience and cost.
The company described the Malaysian appearance as its entry into that market and a step in its wider expansion in Southeast Asia. SIDEC is a state-backed body in Selangor that works on technology innovation and digital economy programmes.
Under the memorandum, TCab Tech is to contribute its expertise. The two sides will examine commercialisation options and seek to support the growth of Malaysia's low altitude economy sector.
