Tui Airlines adopts GO7 connecting-flight system

Tui Airlines is adopting a connecting-flight system from technology provider GO7, and according to the airline it is the first carrier to use it. Travellers can combine two flights into a single trip and check their baggage through to the connecting flight.

That lets Tui sell connections beyond its own route network. GO7 links the New Skies passenger system Tui uses to its own platform. The package includes the baggage transfer technology Thrubag and, optionally, cover for missed connections. Tui keeps control of pricing, billing and the customer relationship.

After launch the airline plans to expand the offering, with further connections involving other airlines to follow.
