Turkish Airlines and Air China widen codeshare agreement
Turkish Airlines and Air China have expanded their codeshare cooperation, adding connecting destinations in China, Africa and Latin America beyond their existing Istanbul–Beijing arrangement.

Turkish Airlines and Air China have signed an agreement to broaden their codeshare cooperation, extending a partnership built through their shared Star Alliance membership. The signing took place at the opening ceremony of the fourth China Air Transport Association (CATA) aviation conference and exhibition in Beijing.
The expanded framework builds on a free-sale codeshare arrangement introduced in June 2024, which initially covered flights between Istanbul and Beijing. It now takes in all main direct trunk routes between Turkey and China, along with selected domestic services beyond Beijing and international flights beyond Istanbul.
The airlines said the arrangement lets combined itineraries be issued on a single ticket and improves connectivity and transfer services between their hubs.
For Turkish Airlines passengers, the deal opens access beyond Beijing to more destinations in mainland China, including Shenzhen, Chongqing, Xiamen, Hangzhou, Nanjing and Qingdao. Air China travellers gain onward connections through Istanbul.
