Uber to operate exclusive pickup zone at Western Sydney International
Western Sydney International has partnered with Uber on a dedicated pickup area ahead of the airport's opening, with ten curbside bays located about 100m from the terminal.
Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport will have an exclusive Uber pickup zone when it opens, under a partnership announced by the airport and the ride-hailing company. The zone sits roughly 100m from the terminal and includes ten curbside bays for departures.
Signage and wayfinding inside the terminal and across the precinct will direct departing passengers to the area. The service begins on October 25.
Airport CEO Simon Hickey said the arrangement expands the choice and flexibility available to travellers. Uber joins driving, public bus links, taxis, car hire, private transfers and on-site parking as ways to reach and leave the airport.
