United to build new $21 million lounge at Seattle-Tacoma airport
United Airlines plans a two-story, 7,181-square-foot club at Sea-Tac, replacing its existing lounge as the carrier shifts operations to a different concourse.
United Airlines is moving forward with construction of a new club lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, according to the carrier. The project is expected to cost around $21 million and is scheduled to open in late 2027.
The new facility will span 7,181 square feet across two floors, roughly 670 square meters. It will replace United's current lounge located near Gate A9.
The change comes as United shifts its Seattle operations from Concourse A to Concourse B, the airline said. The relocation of gates appears to be the driving factor behind building a new club rather than renovating the existing space.
No further details were given regarding amenities or design features of the planned lounge. United did not specify how the new club's size compares to lounges at other airports in its network.
