Vietravel Airlines has ordered 50 Airbus aircraft, made up of 20 A220s and 30 A321s. The agreement was signed in Paris on September 10, 2026, during a summit between Vietnamese President To Lam and French President Emmanuel Macron. Founded in 2020 and owned by T&T Group, the airline expects deliveries to start in 2029 and to include A321neo and A321XLR variants.
The A220s will open new direct routes to cities with limited air service, while the A321neos will handle higher-demand and longer international routes, according to Vietravel. Do Quang Hien, founder and CEO of T&T Group, and Wouter van Wersch, chairman of Airbus International, signed the deal. Vietravel said the order is part of its transformation roadmap since joining T&T Group at the end of 2024, and it plans to keep adding aircraft in the second half of 2026.
Separately, Vietnam Airlines signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus for five A350-900s.
