Vinci Airports plans £500m expansion at Edinburgh Airport
Vinci Airports has set out a £500m investment programme to expand and modernise Edinburgh Airport over five years, the largest in the airport's history.
Vinci Airports is investing £500m (US$664m) at Edinburgh Airport over the next five years. The company calls the airport Scotland's busiest, and says the sum is the largest it has ever committed there.
The money is meant to add capacity, move passengers through the site more smoothly, and support more routes.
Planned work includes extra gates and aircraft stands, a bigger check-in hall and departure lounge, and new facilities for international arrivals. Vinci says the terminal's footprint will grow by 60%. Retail and food and beverage areas will also be enlarged and refurbished.
