Webinar to cover 6D road scanning for runway pavement inspection
A provider of 6D road scanning technology is hosting a webinar on using the system to assess runway pavement condition, capturing millimetre-level data on cracks, potholes and other defects.

A webinar called "Runway Inspection with 6D Road Scanning" will look at how 6D road scanning is used to assess and survey pavement condition, according to a notice from the technology provider.
The system gathers millimetre-level data. That data is used to detect and characterise pavement distresses: cracks, potholes, rutting and raveling, plus surface deformations such as depressions and protrusions from light fixtures.
The data can also be used to calculate the Pavement Condition Index. The notice gave no date for the session and no further details on its contents.
