ZeroAvia aims to close Series D funding by early 2027
The hydrogen propulsion developer's UK subsidiary warns it must raise fresh financing by the second quarter of next year or face further cutbacks, after cumulative losses topped £110 million.

ZeroAvia aims to close a Series D round in early 2027. Its UK arm has warned that without new financing by the second quarter of next year, the company faces another round of cutbacks.
Accounts for ZeroAvia Ltd, approved by the board on 7 August and covering the period to 31 December 2025, show a loss of £29.4 million ($39 million). The previous year's loss was £35.9 million, so the result is a modest improvement, but cumulative losses at the UK business over four years now exceed £110.5 million. ZeroAvia has not yet brought a certificated product to market.
According to the filing, ZeroAvia Inc's last fundraising, in late 2025, fell short of its target. The company responded by cutting its cost base and reprioritising its roadmap to extend its cash runway. Earlier this year it cut two-thirds of its workforce, abandoned development of its own electric motor and rescoped its hydrogen powertrain plans.
The restructuring, which began in late 2025, left the UK entity at the centre of operations, with just two employees remaining in the United States. Even so, ZeroAvia Ltd still depends on funding from its US parent to survive. Cashflow projections cited in the accounts indicate ZeroAvia Inc has enough funding in place to support group-wide operations, including the UK subsidiary.
