Zurich Airport posts record first-half profit on passenger growth
Flughafen Zürich AG reported its best first-half financial result on record, driven by a six percent rise in passenger numbers.

Flughafen Zürich AG reported revenue of 673.6 million Swiss francs (about 724 million euros) for the first half of 2026, up five percent from the same period a year earlier, the airport operator said. Earnings before depreciation and amortisation rose four percent to 374.2 million francs (about 402 million euros).
Net profit climbed one percent to a record 163.7 million francs (about 176 million euros), the company said.
The operator attributed the growth mainly to higher traffic volumes. Zurich Airport handled 15.8 million passengers in the first half, a six percent increase and a new half-year high. Management expects more than 33 million travellers to pass through the airport for the full year.
The company also pointed to the expansion of its international airport business as a contributing factor. This includes operations at sites in Brazil and the opening of Noida International Airport in India. Both added to the group's results outside Switzerland.
The statement disclosed no further financial detail or guidance beyond the passenger forecast.
