A Cessna 206 sustained significant wing damage after its right wing struck the operating propeller of a parked Cessna 310 during taxi operations.
What happened
The pilot of a Cessna 206 was maneuvering on the ground with the intention of passing in front of another aircraft, identified as a Cessna 310, which was stationary off the side of the taxiway. The Cessna 310 was positioned perpendicular to the taxiway path, with its engines running and its nose partially encroaching onto the paved surface.
As the Cessna 206 attempted to navigate past the stationary aircraft, its right wing made contact with the left propeller of the Cessna 310. The impact resulted in the severing of a section of the Cessna 206's wing structure.
