Flight Preparation and Departure
The pilot arrived at the airport and added 10 gallons of fuel to the airplane. After starting the engine, he checked all gauges and found no anomalies before departing.
Enroute Operations
During the flight, the pilot performed several touch-and-go landings at multiple airports before continuing to his planned destination.
Approach and Landing Incident
Upon arriving at the destination, the pilot maneuvered the airplane to land. While on final approach, he selected approach flaps but they did not extend. With the throttle fully retarded, he executed S-turns to maintain a proper descent rate. On short final, he observed that the airplane was to the right of the runway, so he turned left and then began a flare to land. The airplane touched down and departed the runway to the left. It subsequently struck a hangar and a parked airplane approximately 500 feet from the approach end of the runway before coming to a stop.
Post-Accident Examination
Continuity of the flaps system could not be verified due to impact damage.
