Incident Description
According to an official from the airline's safety division, a wing walker was removing a stuck wheel chock from the right main landing gear while the aircraft performed a power-back from the gate. As the chock was removed, the wing walker was blown over by the aircraft's jet blast, resulting in serious injuries. The flight was subsequently cancelled, and all passengers were deplaned.
Injuries
The wing walker sustained serious injuries as a result of being caught in the jet blast. No other injuries were reported.

The airline's Standard Practice Manual specifies that the Marshal is responsible for ensuring wing walkers are in proper positions before giving the all-clear signal. The manual outlines the required coordination to maintain safety during ground operations.
