Pilot Account
The pilot reported that while attempting a simulated engine-out landing, he initiated a go-around. He stated that after applying full power, the left wing dropped. He countered with control input, after which the right wing dropped. He again countered with control input, and the left wing dropped once more, making contact with the ground. The pilot reported that the airplane subsequently contacted the runway in a "nose slightly down attitude."
Aircraft Damage
Examination of the airplane revealed damage including a damaged propeller, separation of the nosewheel, separation of the right main wheel, bending of both wings, and buckling of the fuselage aft of the baggage door.
Examination
No mechanical malfunction of the airplane was reported or observed during the examination.
