Sequence of Events
UAL1547 was conducting a visual approach to runway 19R when it received an instruction to go around. During the go-around, the aircraft came into conflict with AAL1913, which was departing from runway 25R. To avoid a potential collision, UAL1547 executed an evasive right turn. Simultaneously, AAL1913 made a slight left turn. The two aircraft did not collide.
Outcome
After the evasive maneuver, UAL1547 returned to McCarran International Airport and landed safely at 0049. AAL1913 continued its flight to its scheduled destination. There was no reported damage to either aircraft, and no reported injuries to any passengers or crew members.
