Accident Details
On June 10, 2008, at approximately 1200 UTC, a Cessna 210 aircraft, registration 5Y-BE, operating as a chartered flight, collided with high terrain near Nairegi Enkera, Kenya. The flight was conducted under visual flight rules but encountered instrument meteorological conditions due to low visibility. The aircraft was on a domestic flight from Nairobi to Narok, Kenya.
Occupants and Damage
The pilot and three passengers aboard were fatally injured. The aircraft was destroyed by impact forces; however, no fire occurred.
Investigation
The accident is under investigation by the Kenya Air Accident Investigation Department. As the state of manufacture of the aircraft, a US Accredited Representative has been assigned to assist in the inquiry.
