What happened
On December 19, 2008, at approximately 19:40 CST, a Cessna 210, registration XB-AWZ, was on approach to Saltillo Airport (MMNIO) under visual meteorological conditions. During the approach, the aircraft struck wires approximately 600 meters short of the landing site.
The impact was followed by a post-crash fire. The accident resulted in 2 fatal injuries and 3 serious injuries involving burns.
