On December 19, 2008, a Cessna 210 (XB-AWZ) crashed about 600 meters short of Saltillo Airport after striking wires. Two occupants sustained fatal injuries; three sustained critical injuries and burns from a post-crash fire.

Accident

On December 19, 2008, at approximately 1940 central standard time, a Cessna 210, registration XB-AWZ, crashed while on approach to Saltillo Airport (MMNIO). The aircraft struck wires and impacted terrain approximately 600 meters short of the landing threshold.

Injuries

Two occupants on board sustained fatal injuries. Three other occupants sustained critical injuries and burns due to a post-crash fire.
