What happened
On April 9, 2009, at approximately 1030 UTC, a Cirrus SR-22, registration N45GH, crashed into high terrain at an elevation of approximately 6,700 feet near Tizictichka, Morocco. The aircraft was operating a personal flight under visual meteorological conditions (VMC) on a VFR flight plan. The flight departed from Marrakech and was en route to Ouarzazate.
The accident resulted in 4 fatal injuries, involving the pilot and three passengers. The aircraft was destroyed in the impact.
