Accident Details
The pilot was performing a short field approach to a runway measuring 2,400 feet in length. According to the pilot, the airplane touched down hard and bounced twice. He then applied full power to initiate a go-around. During the go-around, the airplane turned left and subsequently contacted a fence on the left side of the runway. The airplane came to rest in a grassy area.
Witness Account
A witness observed the accident and reported that over the runway threshold, the airplane appeared "nose high and slow."

The nearest weather reporting facility, located approximately 27 nautical miles northwest of the accident site, reported winds from 140 degrees at 5 knots around the time of the accident.
Damage
The airplane sustained substantial damage to the fuselage and both wings.
