Accident Details
According to the pilot's report, the accident occurred after approximately 50 minutes of practicing maneuvers. Upon returning to the airport, the pilot encountered a 60-degree crosswind for the runway, which measured 2,900 feet long and 60 feet wide. The pilot aborted the landing twice before attempting a third approach.
On the third attempt, the airplane stalled, and the left wing impacted the terrain, resulting in substantial damage to the airplane. The pilot reported that there were no preimpact mechanical malfunctions.
