What happened
On October 1, 2011, at approximately 2345 UTC, a Beechcraft V3 5, registered as PT-CTL, crashed into terrain in Sao Paulo State, Brazil. The aircraft was traveling from Ponta Pora Airport (SBPP) in Mato Grosso Do Sul toward Amarais Airport in Campinas.
Shortly before the accident, at 2342 UTC, the pilot requested a diversion to Presidente Prudente Airport (SBDN). The aircraft impacted the ground between the cities of Maraba Paulista and Presidente Venceslau. The crash resulted in 4 fatal injuries, involving the pilot and three passengers.
Local authorities located the wreckage approximately one hour after the event.
