Incident Overview
The pilot reported that, after a normal approach and landing, the airplane became airborne again. The airplane then drifted to the left. The pilot applied engine power and right rudder to correct the drift, but the airplane did not respond to these inputs.
Sequence of Events
After the airplane failed to respond to the pilot's corrective inputs, it contacted a grass surface and turned sharply to the left. The impact and subsequent ground contact caused substantial damage to the left wing and aileron. The left wing sustained structural damage, and the aileron was significantly deformed.
Pilot Report
The pilot reported that there were no preimpact mechanical malfunctions or anomalies that would have precluded normal operation. The airplane had been functioning normally before the event, and the pilot did not identify any system failures or irregularities that could have contributed to the unexpected behavior during the landing sequence.
