What happened

On November 18, 2012, a Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (PIAC) Airbus A310-308, operating under registration AP-BEB, experienced a compressor stall in the number one engine. The incident occurred while the aircraft was taking off from Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) in Karachi, Pakistan.

Following the engine malfunction, the crew performed a return to Jinnah International Airport, where the aircraft completed a safe landing. There were no injuries resulting from the event.
