What happened
On January 20, 2014, at approximately 1400 UTC, a Britten-Norman BN-2A-27, registration YR-BNP, crashed into mountainous terrain near Horea, Cluj, Romania. The aircraft was performing a flight from Baneasa International Airport (LRBS) to Oradea International Airport (LROD) when the accident occurred.
According to investigators, the aircraft struck a wooded, snowy area in the mountains. The accident resulted in 7 fatal injuries, involving the two pilots and five passengers. The aircraft was destroyed upon impact.
